Nachi-Fujikoshi was established in 1928 by Kohki Imura in Toyama city in Japan to produce qualified steel and cutting tools. In 1939, Nachi began manufacturing bearings using its experience in steel processing.

Nachi-Fujikoshi is not only a manufacturing company but also a technology company. Although Nachi broke into the bearing market, Nachi's technological expertise became Japan's first domestic manufacturer of spherical roller bearings in 1941. Thus, it has taken its place among the market leaders.

In 1956, in order to be able to provide services internationally, they moved their headquarters from Toyama to Tokyo. As a technology company, Nachi-Fujikoshi provides solutions to support its users at every stage of their operations, from processing raw materials to transporting end products. In this context, Nachi-Fujikoshi began manufacturing lathes/milling machines in 1939, hydraulic equipment in 1958, and robots in 1970.
